About Me
Abram Lucabaugh, often called “Abe,” is a highly regarded educational leader who previously served as the Superintendent of the Central Bucks School District in Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania. Born in Hanover, Pennsylvania, he has dedicated his life to education, utilizing his expertise in leadership and administration to drive positive changes in his local community.
Education and Professional Experience
His foray into an impressive educational journey began with a B.S.E. in English from Millersville University in May 1995. He followed this up with an M.S. in Educational Administration from Gwynedd-Mercy University in 2002. Then, he took his educational prowess a notch higher, acquiring his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Delaware Valley University in December 2017.
His professional career has offered him diverse roles across various capacities. He has served as an English Teacher at Hatboro-Horsham High School, Hatboro-Horsham School District, where he developed a PSSA training seminar for staff for interdisciplinary writing across all curriculums.
Lucabaugh’s leadership roles began as Assistant Principal at Keith Valley Middle School and Tohickon Middle School in the Central Bucks School District. His continued dedication to education saw him ascend to the position of House Principal and then Principal at Central Bucks High School East. Serving in these capacities, he made indelible marks, fostering a positive and productive learning environment, coordinating extensive construction and renovation projects, and driving critical initiatives for enhancing school culture.
From July 2018 to April 2021, Abe was the Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education. He oversaw the district’s eight secondary schools and successfully facilitated professional development opportunities for secondary faculty and administration.
Abram formerly served as the Superintendent of Central Bucks School District. During his tenure, the district experienced unprecedented growth and advancement, fostering strong community connections, implementing strategic planning initiatives, and establishing collaborative educational partnerships.
Hobbies
Outside of his professional life, Abe finds solace in hobbies such as fly fishing, exercising, reading, and writing. Influenced by his father, Abe gravitated towards fly fishing and sports during his free time, finding them a perfect source of mental clarity and embodying his belief in living his best life.
Charitable Activities
His generosity doesn’t stop in the classroom. He has demonstrated his philanthropic heart through various charitable activities, including his role as a baseball coach and his decision to adopt a child. His volunteer contributions extend significantly in his professional capacity, where he is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of everyone he encounters within his community.
